Quantum Computing in CLE?

Microsoft believes that quantum computing is one of three technologies that will transform the world along with AI and augmented reality.

The increased computational power of quantum computers will greatly surpass the power of today’s supercomputers.

Quantum computing technology is projected to crack all current levels of cryptography and many of the platforms that secure online information. Read about post–quantum cryptography.

Recent breakthroughs at MIT with grapheme-based superconducting quantum bits (qubits) are a step toward practical quantum computing.

Case Western Reserve is using quantum computing and augmented reality to develop new tools for treating medical patients called Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting.  This technology will greatly improve the way MRI machines collect data and allow doctors to more accurately pinpoint and see where cancer cells, for example, are in three dimensions.
